In the fall, I get to see a lot of Bellevue Botanical Garden during senior portraits for the boys. Every year, the schedule seems to naturally land me back in this location with a fun group of seniors. Inevitably, senior boys wait until the last minute to get on my schedule. And that means late September through October is their time to shine in front of the camera. And I love this location for them!
What I look for in a location for senior guys:
- Variety of background options
- Works well with shorter photoshoots
- Shows beautiful fall color
- Areas to make posing easy (benches, rocks, fences, stairs)
- Easy parking
- Doubles as a great family portrait location
The botanical garden checks all the boxes. We always end up with fantastic galleries that are full of amazing images. And because there is such a wide variety of backgrounds in a smaller area, I’m able to keep things brief for those who would like a shorter session.
Other reasons to love senior sessions in the fall at the botanical garden:
- It’s perfect for an added mini family session.
- Fall has beautiful natural light.
- Layered fall outfits look great in senior pictures.
