These senior photos at Discovery Park in Seattle are some of my absolute favorites. Would you believe that this session was at the end of October?! It’s a little hard to believe! We had the most gorgeous weather on this day and Sabrina’s photos turned out beyond beautiful.
Golden light and autumn color
October is actually one of my very favorite months for senior photos. In Seattle we can have some really beautiful weather and our fall colors add a lovely warmth to images this time of year. You may be hesitant to book senior pictures in the fall because of worries over the weather. And that’s understandable. But they are so worth it! I like to reduce the number of photo shoots I schedule in the fall (and spring as well) in order to keep enough time in my calendar to reschedule if needed. But we lucked out and landed on a gorgeous day for Sabrina.
From open meadow to sandy beach
To get as much variety in her gallery as possible, we covered a lot of ground at Discovery Park. I always recommend wearing (or bringing along) a pair of comfortable shoes to wear in between the places we stop for photos. It’s not uncommon to cover miles of ground even at one location. And Discovery Park is huge! We started at the upper area of the park where there are big open fields. I love the tall, dry grasses for senior photos! Then we moved along to the bluff, and finished up down at the water. The lighthouse images at the beach looked so wonderful with Sabrina’s simple white dress. I loved her styling!
