Engagement sessions are a special experience for brides and grooms. They are a wonderful time away from the busy planning period before the wedding, and an amazing way to get to know the person who will be shadowing them on their wedding day. I had such a nice time with Ben and Leesha at a pretty park south of Seattle. We lucked out with some gorgeous early spring weather and soft glowing light right before sunset.
Why schedule an engagement session?
Engagement sessions are the perfect romantic time out from the hustle and stress of wedding planning. Getting ready for your wedding is a busy and hectic time. Stepping away to reconnect is important and engagement photo shoots are always a lot more fun than couples expect them to be. It’s also helpful at dispelling any nervousness or fears about wedding photography. Most couples are anxious about wedding day portraits. Spending time with your photographer can go a long way towards easing any concerns. Ben and Leesha were able to get comfortable in front of the camera, try out some easy couple poses, and spend time chatting with me.
Spring weather engagement
Ben and Leesha couldn’t have had a nicer evening for their engagement session. We met at a beautiful park and enjoyed walking around the space. I had fun listening to them talk about their love story and wedding plans. Their excitement and joy made capturing beautiful images that reflected their love so much fun. I am looking forward to seeing them again on their wedding day.
