Maya | Redmond High School

I had such a great time taking Maya’s senior photos at Discovery Park in Seattle this August. She has a warm and open personality that you can’t help loving. We met at the south parking lot at the park and covered a lot of ground during her session. From the chapel and upper fields to the bluff and lighthouse, we saw as much as possible.

Senior Pictures at Discovery Park

I really like Discovery Park for senior sessions with all of the variety it has to offer. Maya was able to get quite a few different backgrounds in her photos by hiking around the park and exploring some of the different areas. From the south parking lot, it’s an easy walk up to the chapel. I love the white chapel building and rock wall that looks out over the puget sound. From there, almost any time of year you can find pretty wheat grass that always looks lovely in photos. And finally, we made our way down to the beach and lighthouse. And Maya’s pretty pink dress was so perfect for her pictures near the lighthouse!

Bringing a friend to senior photos

I always love it when seniors bring someone special to their senior photos. Maya brought along her friend Liana and it added such a fun element to her session. Liana was happy to help carry Maya’s clothing bags which was a huge help. And walking around a park with a friend always lightens the mood, adds to the conversation, and creates such natural smiles in photos.
