This couple’s gallery is full of gorgeous, candid, documentary style engagement photos captured in one of my favorite Seattle parks. It’s always a great location for engagement photoshoots. Hannah and Jacob flew in from Texas to visit family this past winter and decided to make some time for a portrait session. I’m so happy this couple found me! It was immediately clear how much they love each other. And their joy and excitement about their engagement was so much fun to be near.

I love to see the PNW through the lens of clients visiting from out of town. Even those who have lived here in the past are amazed with how stunning it is. Yes, even in winter! It’s special to be reminded of the beauty I’m surrounded by. As a Washington photographer, I’m incredibly lucky to have some of the most gorgeous locations right in my backyard!

We lucked out with a dry December day, less than a week before Christmas. It was chilly but beautiful outside, perfect for our session. The walk around the giant park kept us warm, and I kept the couple moving with more action prompts for a documentary, lifestyle approach to our fun session. With such an open and affectionate couple, they made it easy to capture emotion and personality. Of course, we also caught plenty of sweet posed portraits to add to their gallery. Those are always perfect to add to albums, framed wall art, and for save the date cards. I hope they love their engagement gallery as much as I do!
