There was something uniquely special about this elegant backyard summer wedding. I was so excited to be part of Hailey and Derek’s beautiful day. The bride was my son’s favorite elementary school teacher and it was a joy to see her enjoy such a wonderful chapter in her life. They are such a fun couple! Surrounded by their family and friends and the beauty of the backyard garden in full bloom, this summer celebration at home created an atmosphere that felt intimate, relaxed, and deeply personal.
This gorgeous backyard garden wedding was a perfect example of how stunning a home celebration can be. No detail was left to chance, from the mirrored welcome sign at the head of the driveway to the oversized sparklers ready to light during the exit. Every detail reflected the couple and their excitement to share their love with everyone who attended. A few of my favorite highlights:
- Extra time in a quiet space for bridal portraits
- A private first look for the bride with her two brothers
- Heartfelt speeches during the dinner hour
- A first dance honoring the bride’s mom and their special relationship
- A packed dance floor
- The bride’s second dress for her exit
- Last dance of the evening for the bride and groom and an amazing sparkler exit
