These senior boy portraits at a Kirkland waterfront home are a great example of how you can turn your own personal space into an amazing photoshoot location. As a senior photographer, I make a huge effort to keep my location lists updated and growing every year. But, you don’t have to choose a spot off my list! I love it when seniors come to me with new places to try, meaningful locations, or the option to shoot at home. As long as we have access to some beautiful light, I’m up for anything!

This Juanita High School senior guy had the most fantastic location right in his own yard. The waterfront property had plenty of variety and great water views. And it was meaningful for the family, which is an added bonus. We were able to easily add in his mini family session and some photos with his sweet dog. I’m obsessed with any senior photos that include pets! If you have a location idea that isn’t on my list, don’t be afraid to mention it. You would be surprised at how fun something a little bit different can be.
