Ellie had the most beautiful sunny fall weather for her senior pictures in Seattle. She had originally been hoping for some wildflowers and color, but the end of September was a bit late for those at Discovery Park (aim for July if you love the wildflowers). As it turned out, Ellie and her family were more than happy with the wide variety of beautiful images we were able to capture during her session. We caught a bit of everything from open fields to the beach and lighthouse.
Fall sunshine and beautiful backgrounds
It can be surprising how much gorgeous fall sunshine we get in Seattle for senior pictures. September and October can be beautiful, and photos during these months often look like they were taken in the summer. The tall grass in the big, open fields has dried out and looks amazing in photos. The light color reflects the sun and creates a glowing look that seniors love. We also got some great images on the bluff before walking down to the lighthouse and beach. I always like to finish up down at the beach if we can. The sun going down over the water makes for some stunning senior photos.
Senior session fan club
I love that Ellie brought several amazing family members with her. And they were the best cheering section ever! Don’t hesitate to bring a few fun people with you to your photo shoot. Just be sure to choose family and friends who will cheer you on, hold outfits, help you change, and let you be the star of the show. Ellie’s group did it all! And her mom met us down at the beach parking lot at the end of our session. That’s something I always recommend to help things run smoothly. Once you get down to the beach at Discovery Park, you might not want to walk all the way back up. It’s a steep hike!
