Fall in the PNW can be a gorgeous time of year for senior pictures. Sarah was really hoping for a few flowers during her photo shoot. We decided on JB Family Growers in Woodinville to catch the last of the sunflowers and some great fall vibes.

Sunflowers in Woodinville

This Woodinville flower farm has a couple of different areas to photograph in, depending on the season. During spring through early fall, the wildflowers, lavender, and other rows of flower fields are in full bloom. It’s a lovely choice for seniors who want color. We were just a little late for the main flower fields, but there was still some color left in the sunflower maze. Even with some heavy rain the week before, we were able to find plenty of rows of sunflowers still standing. Sunflowers ranged from lighter yellows to a nice deep orange. Sarah’s simple, casual outfit complimented the location perfectly.

Time in the pumpkin patch

We thought we would focus on sunflowers, but the pumpkin fields were too great to pass up. Hay bales, tables of gourds, pumpkins, corn fields, and wood benches made for fantastic autumn backdrops. Sarah was a great sport wandering through the muddy fields to find some perfect posing locations. I enjoyed hearing her talk about how much she loves playing softball at Lake Washington High School and how she is looking forward to spring season. It was such a nice, relaxed session.
