It was a dream come true early summer wedding day in the Pacific Northwest for Alexandria and Luke at Trinity Tree Farm in Issaquah. There’s something so timeless and romantic about high school sweethearts walking down the aisle. And this Washington wedding was the perfect celebration of a love between two incredibly fun, kind, and thoughtful people. After first meeting this pair for their lighthearted engagement photoshoot, I knew this special day would be one to remember.
Getting Ready for the Wedding Day
Alexandria and Luke began their day getting ready with friends and family separately. Each of them had fun, beautiful moments and plenty of pretty details that were a joy to capture. From hair and makeup, to champagne toasts, every detail was special. I loved catching mom placing the boutonniere on her son, a father-daughter first look, and the bride showing her bridesmaids her completed look for the first time.
Private Vows and First Touch
For a couple who wants to save their first look for the wedding aisle, a first touch with private vows is a wonderful option. This pair wanted to first see each other when the bride walked up the aisle with her father. They planned a few thoughtful minutes before the ceremony to hold hands and say a few words to each other. A calm moment of privacy and quiet before launching into a day of celebration.
A Classic Ceremony and Wedding Day Portraits
Alexandria and Luke exchanged vows surrounded by family, friends, and classic PNW nature. Following the heartfelt ceremony, we captured some classic wedding day bride and groom portraits along with the wedding party and family. As guests enjoyed appetizers and cocktails, the bride and groom enjoyed some romantic moments wandering through the trees. We also snuck in a few adorable photos with the bride’s black lab Mica!
Music Filled Reception and a Grand Exit
Inside the rustic reception venue at Trinity Tree Farm, the wedding party and bride and groom were welcomed with music and cheers. They followed that with a table dash to catch photos with every table group. Later, guests heard heartfelt speeches that traced the couple’s journey from school dances to this unforgettable day. The dance floor was packed throughout the night, and guests holding sparklers loved seeing the couple off in an antique car.
An Ideal PNW Wedding Venue
Trinity Tree Farm’s blend of rustic charm and natural serenity made it the ideal setting for a traditional PNW wedding. Whether wandering through the trees or the open meadow, every corner offered a stunning backdrop. I know this couple will look back on every moment of their day with joy and love their final gallery of wedding day photos as much as I do. And I had so much fun capturing such a wide variety of both candid and posed photos throughout the day for this couple to treasure far into the future.
