There’s something magical about sweet pea senior sessions!
There’s something so magical about a Seattle summer sweet pea senior session! For this senior portrait session, we couldn’t have asked for a better backdrop: wildflowers, golden hour, views of the water, and a senior who brought so much personality and joy to every shot.
The vibrant patches of soft pink, lavender, and white are not only stunning—they bring a romantic, ethereal feel to portraits. Along with the beautiful blooms, we had fun on the bluff overlooking the water and in the big open fields. With so many gorgeous backdrops, Aarushi had the prettiest gallery of photos and I loved every one!
Tips for a sweet pea session:
- Timing: These flowers don’t last long! Aim for late June through July. We sometimes find them into early August, but I can’t promise it!
- Book early: The summer dates perfect for sweet peas, are also popular very booking dates for senior sessions. If you have your heart set on sweet peas, book early to get a spot on the calendar!
- What to wear: Sweet peas are bright, delicate looking flowers. Light colors, neutrals, and soft, flowing dresses look stunning in the fields. But don’t be afraid to mix it up and wear jewel tones, more casual clothing like jean skirts, boots, and subtle patterns. Wear what you love and have fun with it!
- Bring comfy shoes: We have to do some walking to get to our locations, so bring shoes that are comfortable! You can always change into your cute photo shoes when we get to the stopping points.
