How Your Images Are Kept Safe, Delivered, and Ready for You to Treasure Forever

1. Backing up your images

Keeping your wedding photos safe is a huge responsibility and priority. During the photographing of your wedding, I will be using more than one camera body and each will include dual memory card slots set to copy. That way, I have an automatic backup in place already. Immediately following your wedding, images are uploaded to my computer and backed up to an external drive. I never delete images from a memory card until they are all safely delivered to you. And I never, ever get rid of photos on my external drive. Those will remain in a safe place forever.

2. Quality control

As soon as I have your wedding images backed up in multiple places, I will go through and scan each images for quality. Duplicate pictures, those with closed eyes, or expressions you wouldn’t love, are removed. Now I’m left with a lot of really amazing photos to look through!

3. Delivering your sneak peeks

I will select a few photos from each section of your wedding day to include in a sneak peek gallery delivered within 72 hours of your special day. I will quickly edit these and upload them to your cloud gallery portal. Then I will send it off for you to enjoy, share with friends, order prints, and post. You will get a little glimpse of the full wedding day to look through as I work on editing your full gallery.

4. Making final edits to your full gallery

As you are enjoying your sneak peek gallery, I will be getting to work on your final edits for the full gallery. There are a lot of pictures for me to go through, check for consistency, correct for accurate light, color, and tone, and prepare to deliver. Typically, I deliver a minimum of 50-100 images per each hour of actively photographing a wedding. This number can vary depending on how many people there are at the wedding, the wedding party, and events at the wedding and reception. My goal is to deliver the full story of your wedding day from start to finish.

5. Organizing your gallery and designing your album

Your final wedding gallery will be carefully organized to display your special day in a way that makes sense. I will always begin with a “Highlights” section. I love going through each section of your day and selecting my absolute favorite photos. This highlights section will tell the full story of your day through what I consider the most beautiful images. I will then organize photos by section. For example: Bridal Prep, Bridal Details, Groom Prep, Family Formals, First Look, etc. This way, you can easily find photos from different time periods.

Just before sending your gallery, I will design an heirloom photo album for you. These are stunning wedding albums of the very best quality. They lay flat, come in a variety of sizes, and have many leathers and fabrics to choose from. You can look through the book I design, and either give me feedback to make adjustments or edit the album yourself. It’s a fun process and well worth the time and expense for something to treasure for a lifetime.

You can expect your final wedding gallery to be delivered to you within 12 weeks at the very most. This is the longest it will ever take me to complete a gallery and is rare. More typically, I will have your images delivered within 4-6 weeks. I always strive to finish your photos as soon as possible. I know how excited you will be to see and share them!

6. Delivery of your final gallery

The day I send off your final gallery is so exciting! I love to imagine you opening up your gorgeous online gallery, scrolling through your beautiful images, and reliving every amazing moment of your day. My online galleries are absolutely stunning to look through. They are easy to use, make downloading images simple, shopping can be done directly from the attached store, and the link can be forwarded to any family and friends.

7. Editing your custom album and ordering prints

It can be a lot of fun to edit your custom heirloom album and order prints to display in your home. If you would prefer to give me feedback and have me make the album changes and assist you in the ordering of prints, I am always happy to help. Albums come in several sizes, page lengths, and cover leathers or fabrics. The store that is directly linked to your online gallery, will have all the options available, editing capabilities, and print sizes and wall art.

8. Sharing your images with family and friends

Your online wedding gallery is easy to share with family and friends. Just directly forward the link or copy and paste. Anyone entering the gallery will be prompted to enter their email address in order to ensure it remains secure and viewed only by those you wish to see it.

9. Downloading and safekeeping of your gallery images

I always recommend immediately downloading your entire wedding gallery for safekeeping. You will have the option to download the album in it’s entirety as a zip file, by albums, or individual images. I would suggest first downloading the gallery onto your computer, and then backing it up to at least one external drive. Your online gallery will remain live for a full year. And, remember, I will always have your original image files kept safe just in case!

10. Enjoy your gorgeous images

Your wedding photos are meant to be enjoyed!
